In 2 Thessalonians, Paul warned us that there was a “lawless” one already at work. He called it the “mystery of lawlessness.”
We know what lawlessness is, right? That’s pretty obvious.
But what we need to pay attention to here is that he calls lawlessness a “mystery.”
Mystery (‘musterion’ in Greek): “a hidden or secret thing, not obvious to the understanding."
Serious question: why would lawlessness be a mystery?
Paul continues on in 2 Thessalonians by telling us that this “lawless one” is going to deceive people into unrighteousness.
How is it possible for people to be deceived by unrighteousness?
Because they never knew what righteousness was to begin with.
So, what is righteousness?
Psalm 119:172 - “All my commandments are righteousness.”
Isaiah 51:6 - “My righteousness will not be abolished.”
Matthew 5:17 - “Do not think I came to destroy the law…”
Paul continues on to say that people are deceived by unrighteousness because they did not have a love for the truth. And because of that reason, GOD (YAHUAH) will send them a “strong delusion” so that they will believe the lie.
So, what is the truth?
Psalm 119:142 - “Your law (torah) is the truth.”
The mystery of lawlessness and the deception of unrighteousness has everything to do with teaching that our Messiah came to do away with the Father’s commandments; that obedience to the commandments is no longer necessary for a born-again Believer.
Christianity teaches us to reject the very thing that teaches us what righteousness is, as well as the Messiah who embodied the perfect example of righteousness—the one we are told to be like and follow. If you believe that your Messiah came to fulfill the law so that you don’t have to, you are part of the strong delusion.
The Messiah I read about in Scripture obeyed the Father’s commandments and taught His disciples to do the same.
The Messiah I read about in Scripture said if I love Him, then I am to keep His commandments (John 14:15).
The Messiah I read about in Scripture tells me that if I want to abide in Him, then I need to keep His commandments (John 15:10).
John tells us that if anyone says they know the Messiah but doesn’t keep His commandments, they are a liar and the truth is not in them (1 John 2:4).
Revelation 22:14 tells us that blessed are the ones found “doing” His commandments.
Brothers and sisters, ask yourself this question: What Messiah are you following?
Is the Messiah you follow lawful, or lawless?
Does the Messiah you follow teach you to break His Father’s commandments? Or did men teach you to do that?
Do you know the Messiah? Or do just believe what you’ve been told?
Have you set aside the commandments of Yah and replaced them with traditions of men? (Mark 7:8)
See, most pastors aren’t going to tell you any of these things, because they are the one propagating the lies and keeping you stuck on the milk bottle. Christianity today preaches a lawless gospel with a lawless Messiah. They are not teaching you to follow Christ, they are teaching you to follow an anti-christ.
Scripture says that every matter must be established by 2 or 3 witnesses (Deuteronomy 19:15). If you think that the commandments are no longer required for Believers to keep, then according to the Word, you need to provide at least two witnesses to solidify that testimony. People will use Paul as one witness, but that’s problematic because Paul never advocated for lawlessness, especially since we just read that he’s warning us to not be deceived by lawlessness.
You must study the word for yourself and stop seeking after people to teach you.
Seek wisdom from the Most High to be able to discern these wolves in sheep’s clothing. I don’t care how nice people are to you. Even Satan masquerades himself as an “angel of light.”
Nobody wants to believe that we have been so deceived. It took a lot of humility and repentance and love for the truth for me to come out of the deception. And if you don’t set down your pride and seek Yahuah with all of your heart and cry out for understanding, you will stay in the strong delusion.
Yahuah will only wake up those who really want to be woken up.
With love,
Stephanie
