“Revival” has become a buzzword in the assembly of Believers today. I believe people are so hungry for truth. The Most High is stirring up the hearts of many in this hour.
Several years ago, when I started to see all of these “revival” services, events and worship meetings happening, I didn’t understand it at the time but Yah kept telling me, “this isn’t it.”
Since then, I’ve been witnessing the true revival that is happening right now in the hearts of a remnant that is growing. I can personally testify to this. But the thing is, is that it doesn’t look the way the majority of people want it to look. It’s not something that is being televised or broadcasted. It’s not something that is talked about in the church. It’s not a trending topic on social media or an event that the masses flock to.
But it is happening.
True revival is turning back to the old path. Turning back to the Father’s torah—His commandments.
“Thus says Yahuah, ‘Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.’”
Jeremiah 6:16
Some examples of revival in the Bible include:
1. King Asa bringing Israel back to seeking the heart of Yahuah (2 Chronicles 15).
2. Nehemiah and Ezra, who were used to rebuild the Temple and restore the nation to proper worship.
3. King Hezekiah, who also restored the people back to proper worship (2 Chronicles 29-31).
4. King Josiah making massive reforms to reconcile the people to righteous, covenant-standing with Yahuah (2 Kings 22-23).
What was the common denominator every time a nation experienced a revival in the Old Testament? In other words, when the people repented and turned back to Yahuah, what was it that brought renewal and revival to the people and nation?
What was it that the kings and leaders and prophets sought to turn the people back to?
It was a return to the torah/commandments of Yahuah!
EVERY time this happened, Yah renewed His covenant with His people, and they were incredibly blessed because of it; because their hearts turned back to Him/back to His torah!
The prophets were used to indict and warn the people and tell them to return to Yah’s torah. This is the common thread and message woven into every single trumpet sounded by those who wanted to restore and reconcile people’s hearts back to the Father. Every issue of rebellion and idolatry came from FORSAKING (azab) Yah’s torah.
Look at the examples of rebukes from the prophets:
1. Azariah told King Asa not to forsake the torah (2 Chronicles 15:2).
2. Elijah rebuked King Ahab for forsaking the commandments (1 Kings 18:18).
3. Elijah was in distress, crying out to Yah because His children had forsaken the commandments (1 Kings 19:10 & 14).
4. Jeremiah wept, and said over and over and over that the people and our fathers have forsaken His torah and His covenant (Jeremiah 9:13-14, 16:10-11 & 22:9).
And last but not least...
5. Our MESSIAH rebuked the Pharisees for “laying aside” and “rejecting” the commandments of Yahuah (Mark 7:7-9).
If you’re hungry for truth…if you really want a revival in your heart…we must return to the old ways, the way that Scripture says is “good.” The message of the prophets is the same message for us today.
The early apostles said it too. They called the Torah (Law) “liberty, holy and good.” The hearts of His disciples are crying out today. Weeping for our transgressions. Pleading with people that His torah is good, it’s not a burden or a “Jewish” thing, and our Messiah is the goal we strive to be like in our obedience to the Father’s commandments.
We’ve all been conditioned to forsake the one thing that is going to bring the peace and rest for our souls that we are hungry to find, yet never come to the knowledge of.
The Bible is a living book, still profitable for teaching today. We’ve just been taught His Torah all wrong. We’ve been taught the Bible all wrong and our perspective and worship is out of alignment.
Yahuah tells us to search for Him like hidden treasure.
“Cry out for wisdom, and beg for understanding. Search it out like silver, and hunt for it like hidden treasure. Then you will understand the fear of Yahuah and find the knowledge of Elohim.”
Proverbs 2:3-5
Spoiler alert: His torah (instructions/commandments) IS THE TREASURE.
You’ve been given a Set-Apart (Holy) Spirit that is willing and able to bring you into the revelation of the goodness and treasure chest of what His torah/commandments will bless your life with. You’ve been given a Set-Apart Spirit to be able to write His ways on your heart.
Ask Him to show you the ancient path.
Ask Him to lead you to the way which is “good.”
Ask Him for wisdom and understanding.
Get your heart ready, because when you experience that kind of revival in your heart, it will set it on fire and you will be consumed with how much you desire for His Word to be written on your heart so that you can fulfill the call to be true ambassadors for the Kingdom that is coming.
THAT is true revival.
With love,
Stephanie
